1. Who we are
TorqueShift Technologies Ltd. ("TorqueShift", "we", "our") operates the TorqueShift contact centre AI platform. We are registered in Israel and process data in multiple regions as described below. For data protection enquiries, contact privacy@torqueshift.ai.
2. Data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data: • Account data: name, work email address, job title, company name, and phone number provided during registration or demo requests. • Usage data: feature usage patterns, session metadata, and device/browser information collected automatically when you use our platform. • Call data: audio recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries processed on behalf of our enterprise customers. TorqueShift acts as a data processor for this data; the enterprise customer is the data controller. • Communications: emails, chat messages, and support tickets you send us.
3. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data on the following legal bases: • Contract performance: to provide the services you have subscribed to. • Legitimate interests: for security monitoring, fraud prevention, and service improvement, where these interests are not overridden by your rights. • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws including GDPR, Israeli Privacy Law, and financial record-keeping requirements. • Consent: for marketing communications, where we ask for your consent separately.
4. How we use your data
We use personal data to: • Provision and operate the TorqueShift platform for your organisation. • Process transactions and send related information, including purchase confirmations and invoices. • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests. • Send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages. • Monitor and analyse trends and usage to improve our services. • Detect and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with: • Service providers: hosting (Azure, AWS), email delivery, analytics, and customer support tools acting as data processors under our instruction. • Affiliates: our subsidiaries and group companies, under equivalent data protection standards. • Legal requirements: where disclosure is required by applicable law, court order, or government authority. • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, with appropriate confidentiality obligations.
6. Data retention
We retain account and usage data for the duration of your subscription plus 7 years for financial and legal record-keeping. Call recordings and transcripts are retained according to your organisation's configured retention policy, with a maximum of 7 years. You can request earlier deletion subject to legal retention obligations.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. • Rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data. • Erasure: request deletion of your personal data where there is no legitimate reason to continue processing it. • Restriction: request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances. • Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests. 8. International transfers
TorqueShift operates in multiple regions. When we transfer personal data outside the EEA or Israel, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or equivalent transfer mechanisms.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include AES-256-GCM encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, access controls, and regular security audits. See our Security page for full details.
10. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate our platform, and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our website. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify enterprise customers of material changes by email and update the effective date below. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
